University Student Assistant – Finance, Economics, and Accounting (Fall 2025 – Spring 2026) Job No: 497683 Work Type: University Student Assistant Location: Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus) Categories: Student Employment Department: Finance, Economics, and Accounting Salary: $8.25 per hour (Max 26 hours per week) Position Summary: The duties of the Finance, Economics, and Accounting University Student Aid may include assisting faculty and staff, providing excellent customer service to all staff, faculty, and students, greeting and assisting visitors, operating standard office equipment, assisting with filing systems and record maintenance, administration and clerical duties, and other duties as assigned by the department. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the Finance, Economics, and Accounting Faculty/Staff. Provide excellent customer service to all staff, faculty, and students. Greet and assist visitors. Operate standard office machines including a computer and commonly used word processing software. Perform basic Excel and Office 365 duties as required by department. Assist with maintaining records and filing systems. Assist with Administrative and Clerical Duties as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the department. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be enrolled as a Jax State student taking at least three (3) hours per fall or spring semester. (Requirements for international students below.) If not a first‑time student, the applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher. Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJaxState). Due to Visa requirements international students must be enrolled as a full‑time Jax State student and possess each of the following: Passport from their respective country.
