About the Company

A plaintiff personal injury firm seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to assist attorneys handling complex, high-value cases often involving seven and eight-figure damages. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment supporting litigation in areas such as medical malpractice, negligent security, wrongful death, catastrophic brain injury, trucking and pedestrian accidents, product liability, and premises liability (slip and fall).

About the Role

This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at managing extensive discovery, expert coordination, and trial preparation in catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all stages of litigation, from intake through trial and settlement.
  • Manage catastrophic injury and wrongful death case files with multiple experts and large damages.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and trial exhibits.
  • Gather and analyze medical records, police reports, and expert evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed special damages summaries and evidence binders for mediation and trial.
  • Communicate directly with clients—providing updates, preparing them for depositions, and offering compassionate guidance.
  • Coordinate with experts, life-care planners, economists, and accident reconstruction specialists.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in plaintiff personal injury law.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure, court filings, and e-filing systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Trial preparation experience strongly preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure, court filings, and e-filing systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
