LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Interim Plant Controller to support the wind-down of a manufacturing division in the Triad area of North Carolina. This is a critical role for a profitable and stable manufacturer undergoing a strategic transition. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in manufacturing accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee plant accounting operations, including general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow reports, and P&L forecasts

• Partner with leadership to establish budgets, forecasts, and operational benchmarks

• Deliver actionable insights through financial analysis and performance reporting

• Drive cost reduction initiatives, improve efficiency, and support strategic decisions

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and federal, state, and local regulations

• Maintain consistent accounting policies and procedures across programs

• Support internal and external audits

• Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 accounting professionals

• Assist in developing financial strategies during the division wind-down

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of plant or manufacturing accounting experience in an Assistant Plant Controller or Plant Controller role

• Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP systems

• Proven ability to manage cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Pay Details: $45.00 to $70.00 per hour
